Every Gambian mobile number gains two digits on 4 September 2026.

A two-digit operator prefix is inserted after +220. Nothing else changes — every digit you already know stays exactly where it is. [phone] becomes [phone].

That means the numbers saved in your phone stop working. PURA Connects finds them and fixes them.

WHAT THE APP DOES

• Scans your contacts and lists every number the change affects, grouped by operator.
• Shows you each proposed change before anything is written — the old number and the new one, side by side.
• Lets you choose. Save all of them, or tick only the ones you want.
• Undoes anything. Every run is recorded on this phone, and you can reverse it from the History tab for as long as you keep the app.

YOUR CONTACTS STAY ON YOUR PHONE

PURA Connects reads your address book on the device. It is never uploaded, never copied off the phone, and never sent anywhere.

There is no account and no sign-in. Nothing you scan, review or save is tied to a name.

The app works with no connection at all. Scanning, reviewing, saving and undo all happen on this phone.

Type any Gambian number into the lookup and the app shows you what it becomes. No contacts access needed.

WHERE THE NUMBERS COME FROM

The app uses the prefixes published in the official numbering plan notice. Where the published plan does not say which two digits a number gains, the app tells you so and refuses to guess, rather than writing something that might be wrong.
