* Access permissions for the Kakao Bank app are divided into required permissions and optional permissions in response to Android OS 6.0 or higher. If you are using an OS version lower than 6.0, you cannot selectively grant permission, so we recommend checking whether the manufacturer of your terminal provides an operating system upgrade function and then updating the OS to 6.0 or higher if possible.

Ratings and reviews

This app only allows Korean citizens to use. Even if you have a Korean ID number, it doesn't matter. I find that beyond ridiculous. It should be available to all people who have Korean ID numbers. I wish I were able to write more reviews and bring their ratings down, then maybe they would read the comments and do something about it.

Can't use without Kakaotalk account. FYI, if you are a foreigner, you can't open a bank account; but it is same in U.S. and many other countries. This is not a one-time prepaid cash account but it is a reloadable banking account from an internet bank.

This app deserves zero stars. Its not fair to foreigners living in Korea. Only Korean citizens can use this app. I do not understand why Western Union transfers and banking policies are so difficult for foreigners living in Korea.
