About this app

Contrast-induced nephropathy (CIN) is defined as the impairment of renal function—measured as either a 25% increase in serum creatinine(SCr) from baseline or a 0.5 mg/dL(44 pmol/L) increase in absolute SCr value—within 48-72 hours after intravenous contrast administration. [1]\n\nDr's Chaitanya Kulkarni, Jatin Kothari, Prasad Modak & Alan Almeida have collaborated /worked together to devise the HHCIN score.\n\nWe at Hinduja Hospital, Department of Nephrology, devised a simplistic risk score for prediction of CIN after conducting a prospective study of 1300 patients exposed to parenteral contrast agents.
