Find water before you get thirsty.
Don't die dry! Map all the fountains, springs, and water sources along your route, with their exact distance from the trail. Upload a GPX file, choose a Strava activity or route, or simply use your location.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
• Upload a GPX track from your phone • Find your activities and routes saved on Strava • Search for water sources around you, even without a track • Move the map and restart the search within the visible area • Adjust the search radius between 50 meters and 1 kilometer • Switch between topographic, map, and satellite views
FOUR TYPES OF WATER POINTS
• Drinking water: drinking fountains, water points, taps • Water sources: springs, fountains, wells — potability not guaranteed • Restaurants and cafes, for emergency water • Public restrooms, often equipped with a tap
Each type has its own color and icon, and can be filtered with a swipe.
WHO IS IT FOR?
Trail runners, hikers, bikepackers, road runners. Anyone going on a long trip, self-supported or semi-self-supported, who needs to know where to refill their water before setting off.
THE DATA
The points come from OpenStreetMap, the collaborative mapping database. Coverage is excellent in Western Europe, more uneven elsewhere. A spring may be dry, a fountain out of service: on a challenging outing, always have a backup plan.
RESPECT FOR YOUR PRIVACY
No ads, no trackers, no account required to upload a GPX file. Your exact location never leaves your phone: searches are rounded to a grid of approximately 55 kilometers. Your GPX file is read on the device and is never uploaded.
