Any valid prg file created using the appropriate Kanda Handheld PC software, can be sent to an Android device via any standard method (Email, googledrive etc) and using this app be loaded into any Single way Kanda Handheld Programmer. This operates with the single way handhelds only, eight ways will fail.
The app itself cannot check that the correct prg file has been selected for the appropriate programmer. I.E. It is a PIC prg file for a PIC programmer. As such it is critical that care is taken to use the correct PC software to generate the prg file. I.E. You must use the PIC Handheld PC software to generate the PRG file for a PIC Handheld Programmer.
The app works with the following programmers:
- PIC Singleway Handheld Programmer: PIC-HH0120
- AVR Singleway Handheld Programmer: HH0120
- XMEGA Singleway Handheld Programmer: HH0120X
- PIC Singleway Handheld Programmer Version 3: PIC-HH0120V3
- AVR Singleway Handheld Programmer Version 3: HH0120V3
The app requires that the Handheld is running current firmware to function. As such it may be necessary to update the handhelds firmware using a current version of the appropriate PC software before it will work. (The app is not able to update the firmware itself).
The android device requires USB Host functionality for this app to function. Consult the devices box/manual or search for a "USB Host checker" app on the google play store.
A USB On-The-Go (OTG) cable or adaptor is required to attach the USB cable to the Android device. This will be supplied with the device or be available from popular online retailers.
