Dream interpretation is a not uncontroversial topic. The dream interpretation or oneirology tries to interpret the feelings, images and actions experienced in the dream. Since there is no agreement on the function of the dream in scientific dream research, the interpretation and meaning of dream content is controversial.

Very important for the interpretation of dreams are the dream symbols, that is, things that you dream about or that appear in one or recurrent dreams. For the dream interpretation but not only the actual dream symbols are relevant. Also very important is the person himself e.g.

— gender and age
— the life situation
— Experiences, feelings and thoughts of the previous day
— feelings and thoughts in the dream
— feelings and thoughts after waking up

Without taking personal circumstances into account, dream interpretation is very difficult and superficial. The same is true of the meaning of tram symbols. The over 9000 dream symbols described in this lexicon can therefore only be interpreted generally. Some interpretations will fit relatively well on one dream, others rather less. This should be taken into account in the dream interpretation.

Descriptions are fine, I don't always agree though. Some symbols are specific and personal, and don't apply. Problem is, I had quite a few entries in the journal, and this morning found them wiped out!😱 Also, I believe the journal had this feature that would highlight or underline the dream symbols from the dictionary part. This is sadly no longer present. It was a nice feature.

The search function is useful and all of the terms are really well explained, so I can get the idea about the specifics of my dreams. Unfortunately all the terms are single word, and doesn't really allow for lengthier specific situations unless you string them together, which can be awkward mentally when you are trying to still remember the dream. The journal function is satisfactory, however I use a separate note taking app, but it's there if you need it. Dark mode is appreciated.

It's pretty accurate and a good app overall, I've been using it for years. My problem is the search function, after the update, if I type in something and click on it it's fine but when I go back to see other results that were there, it changes and shows a bunch of unrelated random things and I have to type the word in again. Can you fix it please
