About this app

Boring Gallery does exactly what a gallery should do, and nothing else. No ads. No account. No cloud. It does not even ask for internet permission, so your photos cannot leave your phone.

BROWSE
• Photos and videos grouped by day, under Today, Yesterday, This Week and This Month
• Swipe between items, pinch to zoom, play videos right where they are
• Albums come straight from the folders already on your device
• A grid of 3 to 6 columns that adds more columns on wider screens

ORGANISE
• Mark favourites
• Build your own albums without moving or copying a single file
• Hide items behind your fingerprint or screen lock
• Export a whole album as a ZIP into your Downloads folder

EDIT
• Crop to 1:1, 4:3, 16:9 or 3:2
• Rotate in 90 degree steps
• Ten filters, plus brightness, contrast and saturation
• Every edit is saved as a new copy, so the original is never overwritten — and the capture date, camera details and location travel with it

TIDY UP
• Scan for near-duplicate photos and delete the ones you do not need

PRIVACY
Boring Gallery holds no internet permission at all, so nothing it reads can be sent anywhere. It opens the photos already on your device and never copies, moves or uploads them. Favourites, albums and hidden items are stored only on your phone.

About hiding: hidden items are filtered out of this app and kept behind your fingerprint or screen lock. The files themselves stay where they are in storage, so other apps can still reach them. Think of it as tidiness plus a lock on the door, not encryption.
