Boring Notepad is a notepad that chooses to be boring: it doesn't distract you, doesn't ask for an account, and never goes online.

Every note you write and every image you attach is encrypted with AES-256/GCM before it is written to your phone. You can set a password to lock the app; the key derived from it lives in memory only and is never written to disk. Even with no password set, your notes are still encrypted with a key protected by the Android Keystore.

• Always encrypted — with or without a password, notes never sit on disk as plain text
• No internet permission — the app cannot reach the network, because it never asks for that permission

■ FEATURES

• Optional password lock (PBKDF2-HMAC-SHA256, 120,000 iterations)
• Auto-lock: immediately, after 1 minute, or after 5 minutes in the background
• Attach images to notes — stored encrypted, just like the text
• Encrypted backup: a single file, with its own password, saved wherever you choose
• Pin important notes to the top of the list
• Search across titles and note contents
• Sort by last modified, date created, or title
• Light / dark theme and three font sizes
• Turkish and English interface

■ PRIVACY

There is no server. No data is collected and nothing is transmitted — and technically nothing can be, since the app declares no internet permission. Android cloud backup and device transfer are disabled for this app, so your notes are never copied off the device on their own. While the app lock is on, content is hidden from the recents screen and from screenshots.

■ WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW

• If you forget your password, your notes cannot be recovered. That is not an oversight, it is the design: a recovery path would defeat the encryption.
• Restoring a backup replaces your current notes rather than merging with them.
• Please keep your own backups.
