Edulog’s Parent Portal is a self-service app that allows you to track your child’s assigned transportation from his or her school. Know what routes and vehicles have been assigned to your child, complete with planned pickup and dropoff locations and times. Track in real time your child’s bus’s position. know when to send your child to the bus stop to avoid waiting in bad weather. Configure notifications to alert you when your child’s bus is nearing pickup or dropoff.

This app is beyond frustrating to use. The developers decided to wait until the beginning of the school year to do a big upgrade and the app is completely unusable. This is our third year using it and it's fully functional maybe 50% of the time. The other half, it won't display our info, doesn't connect to the bus, or doesn't recognize my login info. It's mediocre at best and many parents I know don't even bother with it anymore. Edit: THE ABSOLUTE WORST APP

Once set up, the app works, but the live bus tracking needs improvement. The previous app our county used updated automatically and was very accurate. Here, I often have to leave the map, return to my child's profile, and reopen tracking just to refresh the bus location. When the map is open, it should poll every few seconds. At minimum, give users a setting to choose the refresh frequency. For parents actively tracking their child's bus, accuracy matters more than battery savings.

This app does not work if your device does not have your location enabled. The bus pick up and drop off point locations are programmed into the system which also has the bus' GPS location. The GPS location of a user is irrelevant to the functionality of the app's design but they disable the app anyway if your GPS is turned off, presumably because they'll only let you use the app if they can track and sell your location data.
