About this app

Finish letters, resumes, reports and proposals from your phone or tablet. Word AI for Microsoft Word brings document editing, review and optional AI assistance into one writing workspace. An active subscription is required to use all document and writing features. You can complete onboarding and browse the interface before subscribing.

WRITE AND ORGANIZE
Start with a blank page or an editable template. Format text and paragraphs, build lists and tables, add images and links, and set up pages, headers, footers and page numbers. Keep documents in folders, mark favorites and find recent work. Subscribed users can write offline using recently verified access. Local documents stay on the device.

OPEN, EDIT AND SEND
Import DOCX files, edit supported formatting and export DOCX or PDF. Share or print through your device. Import reports identify unsupported document features and retain the original file. Complex layouts may differ; check exported documents before sending them.

REVIEW YOUR WORK
Find and replace text, check word counts and undo changes. Add comments, review tracked text and formatting changes, and accept or reject proposals. Save named revisions, preview an earlier draft and restore it while retaining your current work.

INCLUDED WITH YOUR SUBSCRIPTION
Use account-based cloud sync, shared editing and optional AI assistance. Draft, rewrite, summarize, improve grammar, change tone, translate or ask questions about your document. You choose the content and consent before it is sent for AI processing. Review the result before inserting it. AI can make mistakes. Pro includes 100 successful AI actions per calendar month, with document and request limits shown in the app. An internet connection is required for cloud and AI features.

SUBSCRIPTIONS
Choose a monthly or annual Pro subscription. The current price and billing period appear before purchase. Payment is charged to your store account. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled in your store subscription settings; manage or cancel there. Restore purchases in the app. Creation, opening, editing, templates, import, export, printing, cloud, collaboration and AI require an active subscription. Purchase, restore, account management and legal information remain accessible. Expired access locks features without deleting your documents. Offline access lasts up to 24 hours after successful verification and never extends a known subscription expiry. Web access uses your verified mobile subscription and Word AI account.
