About this app

This is a notepad app that manages text files.

It can display text using a monospaced font.
[The reason]
I often extract information from emails and paste it into a notepad. These emails are usually written using a monospaced font, with tables for readability and a horizontal character limit of around 80 characters. However, to prevent tables from becoming distorted with typical proportional fonts, displaying text using a monospaced font was necessary.

Originally released as Palmware under the name MemoViewer, this is a re-release with revised features for Android.

The name was changed from "Viewer," which focused on viewing, to "MemoV."

The "V" stands for "Viewer," but also includes the meaning of "Visual."

Of course, editing is also possible. While it's a text-based notepad, the ability to format text enhances readability.

If you can only use text, you can only display plain text. Many people use symbols like stars to highlight important points, but with this viewer, you can embed symbols into your notepad data, enabling effects like color, bolding, underlining, inversion, and highlighting, resulting in highly readable notes.

Since the base is a text file, it's highly portable, and its simple data structure makes it versatile.

You can categorize your notes. While there are no specific restrictions in this app, we recommend using around 10 categories.

Each note is managed as a single text file, which are then placed into folders called categories.

Note search functionality is also included. You can search within the open note, across notes within categories, and even across categories. This is an essential feature.

Although the base is a text file, for security reasons, it's not visible externally. Therefore, export and import functions are provided to allow for external exchange. Since it's essentially a completely offline data management system, it might be suitable for uses where you don't want to upload information to the internet.

We've also considered usability as a viewer. When viewing a memo, you can move between previous and next memos by swiping left or right.

Furthermore, if you allow the use of the volume buttons in Preferences, you can use them not only to move up and down pages, but also to move between previous and next memos. This allows you to view a memo that doesn't fit on the screen, scroll to the bottom using the volume buttons, and then press the volume down button to open the next memo, enabling continuous reading. The volume up button functions as page down and moves to the previous memo, and the previous memo is displayed from the bottom, allowing for continuous viewing.

Please try it out!
