About this app

Paint your own picture – step by step with Chroma, your AI painting coach.

Choose a work from PK Gallery or take a photo of your own subject. Chroma turns it into a guide that fits your medium (acrylic, oil, watercolour or soft pastel), your experience and your time.

How Pinakas works
• Pick a template: works by the artist Pegah Koch from PK Gallery.
• Or use your own photo: choose a style – realism, impressionism, expressionism, pop art, sketch or minimal – and see right away how your picture could look.
• Get your guide: every step, every colour with a mixing recipe and a list of all the materials. What you already own is ticked off.
• Paint: in painting mode a step image shows how far your picture should be after each step. Chroma reads every step aloud and reminds you of drying times.

Mix your colours
Every colour in the guide comes with a recipe of artist pigments. The colour mixer mixes any shade from the paints in your paint box – even straight from a photo.

Paint box and shopping list
Add what you have at home. Pinakas only shows what you are still missing for a picture and puts it on your shopping list.

Pinakas Plus
• Every template from PK Gallery
• 20 own photos per month
• Progress check: take a photo of your painting and Chroma tells you what already works and what to adjust.
• Ask Chroma: answers for every step
For free you can paint selected templates and use one own photo per month. Single guides are also available without a subscription.

No sign-up, no ads
Pinakas needs no name and no email address and shows no ads. Only you can see your photos, and you can delete them at any time.

Chroma is an artificial intelligence. Guides and answers can contain mistakes.
