Ratings and reviews

It will not open at all. All the years that KCRW has had an app, it has always done the exact same thing. It simply stops playing, after a few minutes. This has happened with all permutations of the app. I have had different cell phones, over the years, and the same issue has recurred. It happens when listening on my cell phone, connected to WiFi. There is nothing wrong with my WiFi. None of my other music/radio apps do what the KCRW app does. The KCRW app, today, keeps stopping.

Update: issue has been fixed! I love love LOVE KCRW and have been a monthly member since 2017. The app usually works fine for basic listening, but I have recently had problems signing in via the app, which previously worked without issues. After logging into my KCRW app account, the app seems to forget I'm logged in the moment I try to enter a giveaway and asks me to sign in again. Same thing when I try to use any member features. The "Report an issue" feature does not work either.

For one of the best music stations in the world the app is laughable. More than one star would be generous. It fails to load any content half the time and randomly stops after pausing playback the other half. They should consult with Spotify. Update (2026) : the new app is *so much* better! It works to the point that you can just focus on the music now.
