About this app

The German car license plates starts with a one-three character city or area code. This code refers to that city or area where the car has been started up or it has been re-registered. These codes are contained by an official database which is described on the Wikipedia at the following URL: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liste_der_Kfz-Kennzeichen_in_Deutschland.
This small application helps to look-up the code and find out the related meaning.
