In order to create active citizenship awareness in the protection of cultural heritage, we have developed a mobile application where "destroyed and on the verge of extinction" values can be reported. The purpose of the application called "PROTECT" is to identify our cultural assets that have been destroyed for various reasons and to transmit them to the relevant institutions and ensure their protection.
How Does the System Work?
After downloading the KORU application to our phones, people can add the location, status and photo of the structure they see as destroyed. After the preliminary examination regarding the notification is made, it is forwarded to the relevant institutions. After the negotiations with the relevant institutions authorized for the intervention are continued, the people who made the report are informed.
