Kept. is a private journal for the things you can't say out loud.

No mood trackers. No tracking. No prompts asking how your day was. Just a dark screen, a blinking cursor, and encryption that means nobody — not even us — can read what you write.

WRITE WITHOUT AN AUDIENCE
Typewriter scrolling keeps your cursor centered while you write. Auto-save protects every word. Undo and redo track your cursor position. Deep writing mode fades the interface away after sustained typing, leaving nothing but you and your words. Kept. handles 5,000-word entries without flinching. This isn't a note-taking app with a lock screen — it's a writing tool built for long, honest entries.

BURNER MODE
Some things you only need to write once. Toggle Burner Mode to write something that dissolves the moment you close the entry. No trace on disk, no undo, no recovery. Or set a time-bomb: your words self-destruct after 1 hour, 24 hours, or 7 days. Nothing else on the market does this.

ENCRYPTED BY DEFAULT
Every entry is encrypted with AES-256 before it touches disk. Your encryption key is stored in your device's secure hardware — it can't be extracted, even from a rooted phone. Optional biometric lock adds fingerprint or face authentication with hardware-bound crypto. This is zero-knowledge encryption: we cannot read your diary entries, even if we wanted to.

NO CLOUD. NO ACCOUNTS. NO ADS.
Your journal stays on your device. No sign-up, no email, no password. No Firebase, no Google Analytics, no advertising SDK. We don't know your name, your email, or your words. Optional anonymous crash reporting helps us fix bugs — that's the only data that leaves your phone.
