About this app
Kernel SunWard Pro is the companion app for monitoring and remotely controlling photovoltaic plants equipped with motorized solar trackers, managed by field PLCs.
Built for operators, installers, and plant managers who need real-time visibility and control from anywhere — not just when they're on site.
KEY FEATURES
• Real-time monitoring — live status for every plant, PLC, and individual tracker, with active alarms surfaced immediately.
• Tracker history & graphs (Pro exclusive) — see how each tracker's position tracked its target over time, by day, week, month, year, or a custom date range.
• Remote commands — switch PLC mode (AUTO, ZERO, AUX), reset alarms, or fully reset a PLC, based on your role. Every command asks for explicit confirmation before it's sent.
• Alarm notifications — get notified in-app the moment a tracker goes into error, with an alarm center covering every plant you have access to.
• Weather at a glance — current conditions and a sun-position arc for each plant's site.
• Network topology view — a visual PLC → tracker map showing exactly which tracker is online, offline, or in error.
• Role-based access — Viewer, Operator, and Admin roles, enforced on the server, not just in the app.
• Light/dark theme and full English/Italian support, with instant language switching.
HOW IT WORKS
Each plant is managed by one or more field PLCs that physically drive the trackers. The app talks to a secure backend in real time, so you always see live data — if a PLC goes offline, the app tells you clearly and disables commands to it until it's back.
REQUIREMENTS
• Android 7.0 or later
• An account created by your system administrator (no self-signup — access is credential-based, with a role that determines what you can do)
• An active internet connection
Kernel SunWard Pro is the same app as Kernel SunWard, plus tracker history and graphs. If you don't need that feature, the free Kernel SunWard app covers everything else.
