Once, mistakes were forgotten. In the world of Kertik, everything is remembered.
The task looks simple: drop your unit into a gap on the sliding strip. But every shot you miss is carved permanently into the map and stands in your way on the next attempt. You learn to find a path through a world filled with your own errors.
The goal is not just to finish the level — it's to finish with as few kertiks as possible.
FIVE WORLDS, ONE LAW
🪦 PEACE — A silent graveyard. Every soul that misses its resting place becomes a gravestone. Ghosts drift into your path in later levels.
🌊 WAVE — A sunlit cove. Your fish dives straight down; miss the water and it leaves a skeleton in the sand. Boats drift, seagulls cross overhead.
🦡 KEKERE MEKERE — A bright meadow. Every keko you startle sits down and sulks forever. Badgers waddle, crows glide above.
🌠 SPACE — Deep night. Every star that loses its orbit turns to wreckage. UFOs sway, meteors streak past with burning tails.
⚽ GOAL! — A stadium in reverse perspective. You shoot upward; a shot that misses the net dies on the pitch. Beat the running defensive wall, past the keeper, find the empty goal. Pick your team — the stands fill with your colours, flags wave, and the crowd roars with every goal. Later matches move to floodlit nights.
EVERYONE PLAYS THE SAME LEVEL
Levels are generated from a fixed seed: the level you play is identical to the one your friend plays. Same obstacles, same speed, same gaps. The only difference is how many kertiks you leave behind.

WHAT DOES "KERTİK" MEAN?
Kertik is the Turkish word for a small notch cut into the edge of something, from the verb "kertmek" — to notch. Before writing was widespread, people carved kertiks into tally sticks, doorframes and tree trunks to count and to remember — each one a permanent record. It works the same way here: every mistake is a kertik. Permanent, unforgettable, and counted.
Every mistake is a kertik.
Every miss carves a permanent kertik into the map. Five worlds, endless levels.
