AV Content Server Player is the Android TV companion app for the Khimo AV Content Server, a premium audio and video distribution platform used by brands, retail spaces, and hospitality venues to deliver 4K HDR video and lossless audio across their locations.

This app turns any Android TV device into a player for your AV Content Server. It finds your server on the network, opens it automatically, and stays out of the way — so the content takes the screen.

REQUIRES A KHIMO AV CONTENT SERVER

This app is a companion player. It does not host or stream any content on its own. To use it you need a Khimo AV Content Server on the same local network as your Android TV.

WHAT IT DOES

- Finds your AV Content Server automatically on the local network — no setup, no IP addresses to remember.
- Remembers servers it has seen before so they appear instantly the next time you launch.
- Shows the status of each server at a glance, so you can tell which ones are online and ready.
- Opens your server in fullscreen, optimized for the TV remote.
- If you have a default server, it opens straight to it on power-on so playback starts in one step.

- Built for the TV remote — full D-pad navigation, no phone required.
- Native TV launcher integration with a custom banner.
- Can be set as your device's default launcher so the app opens immediately when the TV powers on.

PRIVACY

AV Content Server Player works entirely on your local network. It collects no personal information, shows no ads, and sends no analytics or usage data to us or to anyone else. Your list of servers is stored only on your TV.

What’s new

Fix: deep links to the currently-open content server no longer interrupt video playback. Repeated launch intents now wake the screen and dismiss the screensaver without reloading the active session. Switching to a different server via the cs parameter still works as before.
