About this app

Anjeonhae is a marine safety mobile app provided by the Korea Hydrographic and Oceanographic Agency (KHOA) under the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries to support safe marine leisure activities for the public. You can intuitively view real-time CCTV footage, weather information, tide times, and mudflat hazard information for coastal areas nationwide directly on a map.

■ Check the sea weather and tide times right now

Moving the map immediately displays the weather at the center of the screen. Pressing "More" allows you to check the wind direction and strength, water temperature, wave height, and tide changes, with forecasts up to 7 days in advance. You can also view actual measurement data from the nearest observation station to your selected location, as well as surrounding CCTV footage.

■ Weather advisories are displayed directly on the map when issued

Linked with data from the Korea Meteorological Administration, we display a list of currently active weather advisories. Selecting an advisory draws the corresponding area on the map, allowing you to see at a glance how far the affected region extends. ■ Plan your tides in advance with tidal forecasts and high tide information

By selecting a tidal forecast point marked on the map, you can check the predicted tide level for the current time and detailed tidal information. You can select specific points of interest to view high tide information, and if you set up notifications, we will alert you in advance so you do not miss the time of high tide.

■ Color-coded water levels on the mudflats

We draw water level lines on the map based on the tide level of the nearest observation station. High tide is indicated in red and low tide in blue, allowing you to immediately know whether the water is coming in or going out. This helps prevent accidents where you might get isolated due to missing your schedule during a mudflat experience.

■ Check the site in advance with coastal CCTVs

By selecting a desired point among the coastal CCTVs marked on the map, real-time video will play. You can visually check the current wave conditions before you set off. ■ For those preparing for fishing and sailing

If you locate rock fishing spots on the map, you can check detailed information ranging from the spot name and seabed type to the best times for bites and the appropriate fishing methods for each species. The rock fishing index is provided for each location and target species, serving as a reference for deciding where to head out today. With the sea fog forecast, you can preview how visibility will change in one, three, and six hours ahead to choose a safe time of day.

■ Check if today is a good day to visit beaches and mudflat experiences

You can use the Living Ocean Forecast Index to check if today is a good day for mudflat experiences, whether it is safe to go see the sea parting, or if the weather is suitable for swimming, surfing, or scuba diving. The rip current index is provided for each beach, and if you set up an alert, you will be notified when dangerous currents occur. You can view information on beaches and fishing village experience centers near your current location, along with photos and weather data. ■ Save Frequently Visited Spots and Boat Routes

Move the map to align a target with your desired location to register it as a point of interest. Selecting it from the list will allow you to receive guidance to that location. You can save frequently traveled routes as paths to be guided back to them on your next departure. You can move to specific locations by directly entering latitude and longitude coordinates, search for places by name, or measure the distance between two points on the map.

■ Check Your Party Members' Location

By registering a nickname and exchanging authentication keys to link your devices, you can check the location of your party members. This is especially useful on wide mudflats or rocky shores where it is easy to get separated.

■ Call SOS for Emergencys

Press the SOS button and select the agency to report to. A text message containing your current location coordinates will be generated and sent directly to the emergency rescue agency.

You can choose between a standard map, nautical chart, or leisure safety map, and select only the layers you need. When using the service for the first time, you can view images of the main screens and functions in the Help section. Any service changes will be announced via the Notices section.
