A parent installs KidCommit on the child's phone. It limits the apps the parent picked, counts how long they are used, reports that to the parent, and can share the phone's location with the parent if the parent turns that on.
Your time is yours each day. Want more? Earn it by learning, thinking or helping.
WHAT YOUR CHILD GETS
- The time you allow is already theirs.
- They can earn that much again in a day, never more.
- Unused earned minutes are saved up and stay.
- The family plan is managed in KidCommit Parent.
WAYS TO EARN
- Episode: read or listen to a short illustrated piece, then answer questions.
- Mind Game: solve one logic puzzle a day, with up to 30 minutes of play.
- Chores: start a timer, do the task and tap I'm done when the time you set has passed.
LIMITS AND SAFETY
- Only the apps you picked are limited. Other apps stay open.
- Bedtime and quiet hours close limited apps and pause earning.
- Changing settings on the child's phone needs the Parent PIN.
- Blocking uses an accessibility service. It sees only which app is in front.
- The phone's Settings stay closed, because that is where KidCommit could be switched off. A grown-up opens them with the Parent PIN.
- Reports whether blocking, counting and uninstall protection are on, so you know when something was switched off.
- Optional location is off unless you turn it on and the child's phone allows it. Then it shares the latest position, rounded to about 100 meters, also while the app is closed. The child can see when it is on.
PRIVACY
- No ads.
- No advertising ID.
- No third-party analytics or trackers.
- KidCommit does not read messages, browsing or anything inside apps.
- A child's profile uses a nickname, birth month and year and a picture from our set, not a real name or photo.
