About this app

ASIC Scanner finds machines on your local network and shows their condition — from total hashrate down to every individual chip on a hashboard.

The tool was built for a repair shop: it answers the question "what exactly is broken in this miner", instead of only drawing nice graphs.

WHAT IT DOES

• Network scan. Set an address range and the app queries it, listing every miner it finds with model, firmware, hashrate, chip temperature, fan speeds, worker and pool.

• Chip map. For each hashboard you can see which chips work normally, which are weak, which are critical, and which produce nothing at all and need replacing. Board serial numbers are shown too.

• Firmware errors. The app shows what the miner itself reports about faults, including error codes and messages about hashboards that were not detected.

• Power. On Vnish firmware — the voltage the PSU delivers to the hashboards and the PSU temperature. Whatever the firmware does not report is left empty: the app never invents a value.

• Control. Start and stop mining, reboot, target temperature, critical chip temperature, overclock preset, global voltage and frequency.

• Pool change on several miners at once. Check the ones you need, enter the pool address and worker, and the app writes the settings and reports the result for each miner.

• Reports. An HTML report for a miner and the firmware's own diagnostic report can be saved or shared to a messenger.

• Monitoring. While the app is open, the miners it found are polled at the interval you choose, and you get an alert on overheating or a hashrate drop.

SUPPORTED FIRMWARE

Bitmain stock firmware and Vnish. The app detects which one a miner runs on its own — you never have to choose.

WHAT YOU NEED

Your phone has to be on the same local network as the miners, usually the Wi-Fi of the same router. No internet connection is required: the app works inside your network.

Reading the metrics usually needs no credentials at all. They are only required to change a miner's settings, and you enter them once in the app settings.

PRIVACY

The app collects no data about you and sends nothing anywhere. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no servers of ours. Everything it reads from the miners stays on your phone. Settings, including the passwords for your miners' web interfaces, are kept only in the app's private storage and are deleted together with the app.
