Kilemat is a complete Arabic learning app for absolute beginners and people who want to strengthen their foundation. It covers writing, reading, vocabulary and pronunciation in one place, with support for English, German, French and Portuguese.
**Writing**
You write Arabic directly on screen with your finger. The app analyses your strokes and gives instant feedback. Lessons are grouped by letter shape so you learn similar letters together, which cuts the memorisation load in half. Each unit gets progressively harder:
Guided mode shows you the ghost shape of the letter so you can trace it. Memory mode removes the guide and you write from recall. Hint mode shows only the Latin transliteration and you produce the Arabic script. Listening mode plays the pronunciation and you write what you hear.
At the end of every unit the app automatically replays the letters you struggled with before moving on. Nothing slips through.
**Reading**
Read real Arabic texts in the app. Tap any word while reading and you instantly see the Arabic original, the transliteration, the translation in your language, and the pronunciation. You can save that word to your personal vocabulary list with one tap.
**Saved Words**
Every word you save goes into your personal collection. Review it any time, see all the dialect variations side by side, and find the original story it came from. Words are synced to your account so they stay with you across devices.
**Spaced Repetition**
Your saved words come back for review automatically using a spaced repetition system. The app schedules reviews at the right moment so you remember words long term without grinding through flashcards manually.
**Alphabet Reference**
Every one of the 28 Arabic letters is documented with all four written forms (isolated, initial, medial and final), the pronunciation in four Levantine Arabic dialects (Lebanese, Syrian, Jordanian and Palestinian), a phonetic guide, and a clear explanation of whether it is a sun or moon letter and what that means for how you say the definite article.
