About this app

Kimiez Queue Display is a real-time order queue management screen designed for restaurant use. Mount it on any Android TV or tablet at your counter to keep customers informed about their order status — no more crowding the counter asking "is my order ready?"

HOW IT WORKS

The display is divided into two panels:

Now Preparing — orders currently being prepared in the kitchen
Ready to Collect — orders ready and waiting for the customer
Queue numbers update automatically the moment the kitchen marks an order as ready, powered by a live WebSocket connection. A 30-second polling fallback ensures the display stays accurate even if the connection briefly drops.

AUDIO ANNOUNCEMENTS

When an order is ready, the app plays a notification chime followed by a text-to-speech announcement of the queue number. Supports multiple languages:

English (en-US)
Bahasa Malaysia (ms-MY)
Mandarin (zh-CN)
Tamil (ta-IN)
TTS language and speech speed are configurable from the management dashboard.

Green — Takeaway orders
Customers can instantly identify their order at a glance.

DESIGNED FOR ANDROID TV

Optimised for large screens and TV displays. Works equally well on standard Android tablets and phones. No touch input required — the display runs fully hands-free once set up.

REQUIREMENTS

This app is intended for use with the Kimiez restaurant management system. A valid Kimiez account and active internet connection are required.
