Ratings and reviews

Some apps like YouTube (and most Google apps) are not even listed, probably so Google wouldn't see it as a danger to its profits, otherwise I'm not sure it would be allowed on the Play Store. As many apps use advertising via Google, it seems it doesn't actually do anything to protect you from ads, maybe from malicious ones only, at best. Some apps that won't run if they detect VPN network (Vodafone app for example), won't run while this app is "on" and can't find option to exclude single app.

Wonderful app, does the work that I want it to do. But there are some small features/tweaks that i would love to have, like instead of completely hiding the apps that don't use internet, maybe make their wifi and data icon greyed out and show them with regular app list. Also can we have a seperate app list for system apps? It becomes too messy when they show up with installed apps. And last can we have option to exclude some apps from ad blocking if that if possible with VPN mode.

athena reminds me of netguard but better. it does firewall (rooted, or even non rooted.supports shizuku). Has fingerprint/pin/or pattern protection to make changes to it to protect it from unauthorized edits. has dns selection. ad blocker. can be used for free, didn't see any ads. the paid version seems reasonably priced. this is fully featured. deserves a 4.5 or 5 star for the functionality it offers. dnsnet is good for adblocking, but athena does a bit more by adding firewall function as well
