Ratings and reviews

I've been using the app since it was released, and it's a convenient place to find and save recipes. I appreciate that each update seems to improve the app in response to feedback. But it's not perfect. I get signed out and have to log in again even if I've been regularly using it. I also don't like that if I've saved a recipe, and later create a new folder, I have to unsave the recipe to add it into the new folder. It would be nice to include a place for my own notes on recipes I've baked.

I like this app, it's a good way to save all my recipes. One feature I am very much missing from the site is the ability to read the reviews and Q&As that go along with each recipe. Oftentimes I've learned a lot by checking out those items and it's led me to more success. The King Arthur staff has passed a lot of knowledge in the Q&As so unfortunately I can't only use the app until that information is ported in.

It's great having access to the recipes through the app, and I particularly like the ability to keep my screen from going dark. The issues that are irritating are: 1) If I switch to another app, usually to read a message or look up ingredients I don't have in hand, the app resets and checks to see if a newer version exists, and 2) when this happens, it forces me to look up the recipe again.

This update brings offline access to your saved recipes, improved recipe navigation when returning to the app, clearer recipe labels, faster and more reliable recipe saving, along with general performance improvements and bug fixes.
