Vessel9 is a folk-art picture-logic workshop. Every study 📖 is a clue grid -
the numbers 🔢 along the top and left edge describe the runs of inked cells in
each column and row - and solving it makes the grid paint itself: the solved
cells stop being tiles and bloom into brush strokes, stroke group by stroke
group, until a named folk-art motif stands finished on the page.
What makes it different is Deduction Mode. An on-board line solver
recomputes, after every mark, the exact set of cells provable from the clues
and the marks already on the board, and the brush simply refuses any mark
that is not provable: the refusal names its reason ❓ and pulses the clue you
should be reading instead. A mistake becomes structurally impossible, and
being refused teaches you the technique instead of taking your progress 📈 away.
When no provable cell remains, the board opens a labelled Leap state, so the
guard never deadlocks.
Free 🆓 Ink Mode drops the guard, and a contradictory mark there summons a named
ink-blot spirit - Smudge, Dribble, Runback, Halfsign, Bleedthrough, Hollow -
each a personified deduction error ❌ with its own art, encounter stats and a
counter-play ▶️ tip 💡. A blot snaps the Unblotted Streak 🔥 and logs itself into a
codex whose unmet entries stay darkened and unidentified.
Folk-art picture logic with a mode that refuses any unprovable mark.
