About this app

KinGuard — scam protection for elders, with family in the loop
Scammers increasingly target elderly people — fake "police" calls, "digital arrest" threats, cloned voices, and urgent messages designed to create panic. KinGuard helps families protect the people they love, together.
Here's how it works. A family member sets up a free account and links their parent's or grandparent's phone. If the senior feels something is wrong, they open KinGuard and tap what's happening — or press the panic button. Their phone immediately shows a calm, clear warning in their own language, and at the same moment, the trusted family member gets an alert with simple guidance on exactly what to say to help.
No jargon. No complicated steps. Just one tap when it matters, and family who can step in.
What makes KinGuard different:

Built for elders — large text, high contrast, read-aloud, vibration, and a simple mode, so it works for people who find phones difficult.
In their language — available in Hindi, Telugu, and English, with more to come.
Family in the loop — a trusted relative is alerted and coached, not left guessing.
One-tap help — no reading or decisions needed in a stressful moment.
Private and free — no ads, no selling your data. Phone numbers are encrypted, and each family's information is kept separate and protected.
Guidance to report — includes a quick link to report fraud to the 1930 cybercrime helpline.

KinGuard doesn't try to replace awareness or caution — it gives a worried senior a calm second opinion, and gives their family a way to step in fast.
Set it up once. Be there when it counts.
Built by Myra, a high-school student, to help families keep their elders safe.
