KinMap brings together what matters to keep the family aligned: seeing where members are on the map, sharing tasks, and tracking group events, all linked to the same family group.
What you can do
Family group: create a group or join with an invitation (e.g., with a code), with creator and member roles.
Map and list: view members on the map (OpenStreetMap) and in the list, with location status when available.
Map locations: define places (e.g., "home") to contextualize tasks and proximity alerts, when configured.
Tasks: create and track group tasks, with optional location and reminders when applicable.
Group calendar: events shared on the group calendar.
Messages: simple daily history for group communication (as available in the app).
How it works (summary)
Each mobile phone joins the group with your account and device ID required by the service. Location is shared when you have the appropriate permissions and the service is active — as with family location apps, a fixed notification may appear while location tracking runs in the background (a typical Android system requirement).
Permissions and Data
The app may request, among other things: location (to show position on the map and associated functionalities), internet, notifications (for alerts and reminders), and camera if you use features that utilize it (e.g., code reading). Data is processed using cloud services (e.g., Firebase / Google) for authentication, group synchronization, and storage of the information you enter.
Responsible Use
KinMap is intended for families and groups who consent to location sharing. It should not be used for covert surveillance or without the consent of the individuals located. For minors, the person setting up the group must have parental responsibility or appropriate authorization.
Privacy Policy
