About this app
Microcosmi is the app that enhances the territories by proposing itineraries and stages suggested by the Rotary Clubs of District 2032, or the District that gathers the Provinces of Lower Piedmont (Alessandria, Asti and Cuneo) and Liguria (Genoa, Imperia, La Spezia and Savona ).
The project has the ambitious goal of providing a unique tool, able to suggest to the user routes and stops to visit, proposed by those who live that territory and know it well, in order to offer an unforgettable experience to the visitor. A territory of rare beauty, rich in culture, history and traditions, which welcomes the legacy of the passage of mythical characters of history, such as Hannibal and Napoleon.
The application aims to present not only the most well-known places, but lead to the discovery of places and ravines of rare beauty, not yet famous for international tourism, but not for this of lesser historical, cultural or landscape interest. An unprecedented opportunity to appreciate the most beautiful microcosms of Lower Piedmont and Liguria.
The guide is a living tool, constantly updated and reviewed by the Rotary Clubs that are editors.
At a functional level, the app allows you to filter the routes by categories of interest, by Rotary Club and by geographical location. A sophisticated geolocation system shows your position on the geographical map and indicates the closest stops.
The App is part of the initiative of the Year 2021-2022 of Governor Silvia Scarrone in collaboration with the Commission for the Protection and Development of the Territory, chaired by Carlo Zoni.
