Alhamdulillah, thanks be to Allah S.W.T, finally we PonPon Media have successfully completed the application of the Al Barzanji Book and Translation. Al Barzanji is the work of Shaykh Jafar Al-Barzanji and is one of the oldest maulid books.

Barzanji is the most popular maulid prophet read in Malay society, but some consider Bid`ah, that is, people who lack scientific knowledge and are fanatical about one opinion. This group generally likes to question the khilafiyah which has been completely discussed by the ulama hundreds of years ago.

Kitab Al Barzanji contains poems, prose, and poetry in Arabic which tells about the life history and genealogy of the Prophet Muhammad. The book was written by a well-known cleric and Sufism expert, namely Sheikh Ja'far Al Barzanji, where in fact the book was named 'Iqd al-Jawahir which means "jeweled necklace".

The book was compiled to increase love for the Prophet Muhammad. Kitab Al-Barzanji contains the life of the Prophet Muhammad from childhood to his appointment as an Apostle, his genealogy, his noble qualities, and various events that can serve as role models for Muslims .

This Kitab Al Barzanji was originally initiated by the order of Sultan Saladin Al-Ayyubi in 580 H/1184 AD to hold a history writing competition and praises to the Prophet SAW and the book 'Iqd al-Jawahir emerged as the winner. Therefore, the book was socialized to all corners of the world with the aim of raising the spirit of defending the religion of Islam.

In the event, usually performed by a number of people, starting from the opening, reading Al-Barzanji chapter one to chapter four, followed by Marhabanan.
