About this app

In the realm of Sufism or Islamic Sufism studies, the name Jalaluddin Rumi is very difficult to obscure. Sufism and Rumi are so attached. Someone who wants to study Islamic Sufism, of course, will "meet" Rumi's name so that it seems as if Rumi is Sufism itself.

His real name is Maulana Jalaluddin Muhammad bin Hasin Al-Khattabi Al-Bakri. The reviewers or readers of his book often refer to Islam's greatest Sufi as Jalaluddin Rumi or simply Rumi. Rumi's name is attributed to his residence, the Province of Rum. He is Islam's most popular Sufi poet. The depth of his spirituality is not inferior to previous wise figures of the caliber of Zarathustra, Buddha Gautama or Mahavira.

There are so many works that inspire spirituality. Not only aroused spirituality, but also revolutionized philosophical understanding that deviated and deviated far from monotheism. Rumi, through his poetry and works, tries to restore the divine nature of humans, not merely deify rationality.

One of Rumi's phenomenal works is a book entitled "Fihi Ma Fihi". The meaning of the title is more or less "this is the real thing". In terms of title, Rumi wanted to describe the essence of human creation and life in the world, which at the beginning leads to the Creator of the universe. In terms of the title, Rumi, through his work, also conveyed the depth of his Sufi thought.

The depth of his sufism is clearly described in his various verses or writings. One of the common threads that can be drawn from his sufism is the awareness of the transience of beings before the Khaliq. More from consciousness than mortality, even obedience which takes the form of love for the Khaliq.

As stated by Rumi, all desire (love and longing) for God is actually a veil that covers human eyes. When people have lived their life in this world and seen their King without a veil, they will realize that all these desires are nothing but a veil and veil, and that their true wanderings in reality are fixed on one thing.

Rumi's high understanding of monotheism and his depth of Sufism made him a figure whose words were sharp to pry out the morality of humans who experience decadence. Rumi believes that the real God is not what is described. Rumi believes Him to be the One who is loved and longed for and the human brain cannot predict the image of Him. As the Islamic law that God sent down Islam and in Islam there is the absolute law of God.

However, among mankind there are people who are "in front of God", namely those who are pious and steeped in Sufism. Such is the path (tarekat) to reach God; deepen Sufism or Islamic Sufism to reach the level of makrifat. This level of makrifat is what Rumi said as people who are in a position to talk to the king and know the knowledge the king uses to rule. It is also not an exaggeration that his name — in the realm of Sufism and Sufism, is side by side with Sheikh Abdul Qadir Al-Jailani and the high Imam Al-Ghazali.

The book, which contains an anthology of Rumi's poetry, which is full of Sufic values, is a source of water in the middle of the desert. It has become an oasis in the realm of science and religious practice that is too liberal and radical. It is a lake with a calming spirituality. Rumi's work offers both softness and coolness to wet dry spirituality. This book is an ancient literacy but still fresh as a reference in exploring the depths of Rumi's Sufism.
