A great rpg and it has lots of additional improvements to the gameplay itself. I like the quick hunt and minion dispatching system to speed up the process of gaining stats. Awesome story and I'm glad this series felt connected from 1 to 4. I highly recommend starting with #1 if you want to experience this series.

The game is great overall. The story is well-thought and made. However, there are some in-game issues: auto-path is clunky when you turn on hunting, you can't select which magic medium to switch once you tap the supportive magic circles, parts of the map have small spots that are un-explorable and should be removed, map should be movable so exploration can be easy for first-timers. I do hope the DLC gives us a taste of world exploration but that might be asking too much.

I noticed things got more cinematic than previously with different camera angles wich is nice and the map seems decent too. But I do have some criticisms, first there seems to be an odd difficulty curve compared to the other games, it feels like there's more stop and go here with the grinding for power levels than in the other games, and secondly there was a bit of a hiccup at the final boss where I had to restart the whole fight because the action button was missing. Still fun thou :)
