Every day, one place on Earth is hidden. Everyone hunts the same one.

You are the newest member of the Order of the Lantern, and the Order keeps its secrets in cipher. Each day opens a chapter: a fragment of story, a trailhead, and three seals standing between you and the trail.

BREAK THE SEALS
A word written in the Order's runes. An anagram the warden left behind. A riddle in a dead scribe's hand. Break a seal and it tears open the next fragment of the trail — one more clue to where the key lies.

OR FOLLOW THE TRAIL INSTEAD
You never get stuck. Skip a seal and it hands you the clue anyway for a cost in points, so the whole hunt can be played on the clues alone if ciphers aren't
your idea of a good evening. There are no timers and no waiting. Being stuck
always converts into progress.

NAME THE PLACE
Guess whenever you like — you don't have to open every clue first. Every guess comes back BURNING, HOT, WARM, COLD or FREEZING depending on how close you are, with an arrow telling you whether you're warmer than your last attempt. Triangulate from your own wrong answers. That's the game.

THE ASHEN HAND IS HUNTING IT TOO
A rival faction wants the key, and they move on your noise — every wrong answer, every skip, even every seal you break out loud. They never move on the clock, so take all the time you want. Just don't be careless. Let them reach the vault first and you can still finish, but your fragment burns — and a cleaner run on another day restores it.

THE FORGOTTEN MAP
Every chapter you finish yields a rune and one word of the Order's lost message. Thirty chapters, thirty pieces, one sentence at the end of the season. Burned pieces leave holes. Your map is saved to your account and follows you to any device.

WHAT THIS ISN'T
No adverts. No timers. No energy meters. No pay-to-win, and nothing to buy at all. No account needed to start playing — take a name only when you want your streak to survive a new phone.
