About this app

Most of us end the day knowing we spent too long on our phones, without ever knowing where it actually went. TimeNudge answers that question, then helps you do something about it — quietly.

UNDERSTAND WHERE THE TIME GOES

See your day app by app and hour by hour: how long you spent, how often you picked the phone up, and how today compares with the rest of your week. Weekly charts let you page back through the month and open any single day to see how it was really built.

Sort your apps into Productive, Neutral and Distracting — your definitions, not ours. The same app can be work for one person and a time sink for another.


NUDGES, NOT BLOCKS

When a session starts running long, TimeNudge taps you on the shoulder. A quiet notification, the time you have spent, and two honest options: keep going, or stop here. Nothing is taken away from you.

Set a daily screen time goal and per-app limits, and choose how early you want to be warned — at 80% of a limit, or only when you reach it.


FOCUS WHEN IT MATTERS

Pick a length, pick the apps you would rather not open, and start a Focus session. You get a live countdown, a quiet notification, and a summary of how it went.

To be straight with you about this: Android does not let one app block another, so TimeNudge will not stop you opening anything. What it does is hold you to the time you chose. If you want a padlock on your phone, this is not that app — and any app promising you one is not telling you the whole truth either.

Build your own Modes for the things you do regularly — study, work, winding down before bed — each with its own idea of which apps belong and which do not.


PRIVATE BY DESIGN

TimeNudge has no internet permission. Not "we promise not to look" — the app is technically incapable of sending your data anywhere, and you can verify that in the permission list before you install.

- No account. No sign-up, no email, no password.
- No ads, no trackers, no advertising ID.
- No cloud. Your usage history lives in a database on your phone and is excluded from device backups.
- Delete everything in one tap, whenever you like.

THE PERMISSIONS, AND WHY

Usage access — the Android setting that lets TimeNudge read which apps you used and for how long. Without it the app has nothing to show you. You grant it yourself in Settings, and you can revoke it at any time.

Notifications — so a nudge can reach you.

Notification access (optional) — used only to count how often notifications pull you back to your phone. TimeNudge never reads, stores or sends the contents of your notifications, and the feature is entirely optional.
