About this app

KnitsThatFit Sweaters creates custom knitting patterns for Pullovers and Cardigans for any yarn, any size and any fit, and is used by both hand and machine knitters.
Knitting direction options (top-down or bottom up).
Patterns for a wide range of styles can be created with a choice of raglan, set-in sleeves or drop shoulder armholes, and a range of necklines and sleeve options (including sleeveless). There are also options for waist shaping with close fitting garments.
With an extensive range of standard clothing sizes for Women (International), Men, Babies and Children, all body measurements can be adjusted for a customised fit. The garment measurements such as length, neck width and depth, sleeve length are also fully adjustable. There is a selection of stitch patterns that can be chosen, but any stitch pattern can be used, and if the stitch pattern has a pattern repeat or a central panel, the app will give instructions to centre the pattern or adjust the stitch count for the pattern repeat, according to your choices.

So whether you want a knitting pattern for an ankle length oversized pullover with a roll-neck in a super chunky yarn, or a short sleeved cropped V-neck cardigan in a fancy fine yarn, or a crew neck pullover for the little ones, this app will give you a pattern for all of them!

The knitting patterns are currently produced in the form of written text, with options for knitting the garment in the round from the top down, or flat, from the bottom up. The pattern is also shown diagrammatically in the form of a schematic diagram.

Without the in-app purchase, this version of the KnitsThatFit Sweater app enables you to create a knitting pattern for a standard-fit, crew-neck sweater in a choice of 3 adult sizes. There is a choice to use DK / Light Worsted or Aran / Worsted weight yarn. A small amount of adjustment to body and sleeve length can be made. The instructions are given in the form of text, for knitting the garment flat, from the bottom up.
All of the features of the paid version of KnitsThatFit Sweaters can be unlocked with an in-app purchase.

With the in-app purchase, you can also create and save as many patterns as you like, and they will all be accessible from a list within the app.

Patterns can be saved as a PDF and printed.

Just got this app. Explored the free version and decided to jump right into the premium version. Got mixed up in the process (my error!). Customer service responded promptly and without judgement. I have now set it up for my first project. The pattern looks awesome. Good written instruction with charts to supplement. I WILL REVIEW AGAIN ONCE THE CARDIGAN IS COMPLETED.

Ugh, Google. This app won't let me upgrade, it keeps saying wrong password, the constant recovery process is tiring. I don't know what's wrong with Google, but when I sign in and update to get the Premium package Google has no problem pulling up my bank account (imagine that...) but Google doesn't know my password? I'm ready to trash this and try something else. I've tried to put in my password so many times that I've been locked out twice for a day. Good grief.

Hi Cathy, It appears that you are having difficulties logging into you Google play account, sorry to hear about that! However it seems unfair that you have given KnitsThatFit a bad review for this! For an upgrade to Premium, the purchase is directly from Google Play. If you’re already signed in, you shouldn’t have a problem.

I have only just downloaded this today. The free version doesn't work for me as the options are so limited so I have taken a one month subscription which isn't much. It seems to function really well with loads of options. Although I haven't knitted anything yet, this looks professional and well thought out and I am looking forward to using it to its full extent. So, until I find something wrong I am giving it 5 stars 🙂.
