Knotwork helps you design friendship bracelets and then tie them, one knot at a time.

PAINT YOUR PATTERN
Set up your strings, pick your colours and paint the knots you want to see. Knotwork works out which way to tie each knot to get that colour, so you can focus on the design instead of the knotting logic. Knots that can't reach a colour from where the strings are sit faded, so you always know what's possible.

GENERATE A PATTERN IN SECONDS
Out of ideas? Choose how many strings and colours you want, pick a style (chevron, diamond or scatter) and let Knotwork generate a pattern for you. Keep it as it is or open it in the editor and make it your own.

WEAVE ROW BY ROW
Weave mode walks you through your bracelet one row at a time. For every knot it shows which two strings meet and which way to tie. Your progress is saved, so you can put your bracelet down and pick up exactly where you left off.

KNOW HOW MUCH THREAD TO CUT
Set your bracelet length and Knotwork estimates how much embroidery floss to cut for each string, ties included. Lengths are shown in centimetres or inches.

SHARE WITH A CODE
Every pattern can be turned into a short code. Send it to a friend however you like, and they can import it straight into their own library.

EASY TO READ
Every colour also has a letter (A, B, C…) shown on strings and knots, so you never have to rely on colour alone.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Knotwork runs entirely on your phone. There's no account, no sign-in and nothing is uploaded. Your patterns and weaving progress stay on your device.

Knotwork is made for normal (chevron-style) friendship bracelets made with 6-strand embroidery floss. But feel free to use the patterns for different sorts of threads.
