Thousands of photos and running out of storage? Shoo helps you clean up your gallery and free up space, one swipe at a time. Photos and videos come up one by one: keep them, add them to favorites, move them to an album or queue them for deletion. Nothing is deleted until you review the queue and confirm.
Swipe your way
• Four swipe directions, and you choose what each one does: keep, delete, favorite or add to an album
• On Android, albums are folders, so adding a photo to an album moves the file into that folder
• Pick one of your albums, or type a name for a new one: Shoo creates it in the Pictures folder with the first photo you swipe into it
• Changed your mind? Undo swipes one step at a time, and a moved photo goes back to its previous folder
Review before you delete
• Everything you swipe to delete waits in a queue
• See the queue as a grid, open any photo or video full screen, then restore it or delete just that one
• Delete the whole queue at once: Shoo shows how many items will go and roughly how much space you’ll get back, then asks you to confirm. On Android 11 and newer, the system asks to confirm as well
• Favorites are protected: Shoo warns you when you swipe a favorite to delete (unless you are browsing Favorites itself), or can skip favorites altogether
Choose what to review
• Your whole gallery, any album or folder, or Favorites (Android 11 and newer)
• Newest first, oldest first, or longest videos first
• A specific month, everything older than 30 days, or only what is new since your last session
• Start from any month you like
• Photos, Videos or All
See the details
• Capture date, resolution, file size and file name
• Pinch or double-tap to zoom
• Play videos and scrub through them right on the card
Enjoy the progress
• See how much storage you’ve freed, with a small celebration after each cleanup
• Light, dark or system theme
• English and Ukrainian
Your photos stay yours
• Shoo works entirely on your device, even offline
• No servers, no accounts, no analytics, no tracking, no ads
• Shoo never uploads your photos or videos anywhere
• Settings and progress are stored only on your phone (and may be included in its backup)
• On Android 14 and newer, Shoo also works with limited photo access: it sees only the photos and videos you select, and you can add more at any time. Albums need full access
Good to know
• On Android, deletion is permanent: deleted files don’t go to a trash and can’t be restored, so Shoo always asks first
• On Android 11 and newer, the system asks for your permission when Shoo moves a photo or video into an album or marks it as a favorite. Favorites aren’t available on older Android versions
• Shoo uses Android’s own favorites. Favorites kept only inside a particular gallery app may not be recognized, and some gallery apps don’t show the favorites Shoo sets
• Month and period filters and “Start from” go by capture date. Files without one, such as many screenshots and saved or downloaded images, are left out of them
