4. Critical Checklist for Publishing

Before you hit "Submit" in the Google Play Console, you must address these specific sections to avoid rejection:

A. Data Safety Section (Crucial) Since you claim "Privacy-First," your Data Safety form in the Console must match your description exactly.

Collection: You are collecting data (Email/ID for Firebase Auth, Chat History).

Sharing: You must mark "Data is not shared with third parties."

Security: You must mark "Data is encrypted in transit."

B. AI Content Declaration Google Play has a new policy for AI apps.

You will likely be asked if your app uses Generative AI. Answer Yes.

You may need to confirm that your AI has guardrails against generating offensive content (OpenAI’s models usually satisfy this, but you are responsible for the output).

C. Target Audience

If you select "Students" or anyone under 18, you will trigger strict "Families Policy" requirements.

Recommendation: Unless your app is specifically child-directed (under 13), set your target age to 18+ or 16-17+ to simplify the review process, as "Chatbots" are often rated "Teen" or "Mature" due to the unpredictability of AI responses.

D. Trademark Note Using "Powered by OpenAI" in the text is generally acceptable as a factual statement, but do not use the OpenAI logo in your app icon or screenshots, as this will get rejected for "Impersonation."
