Dev Switch is a bench of everyday tools for Android developers and QA testers, right on the phone, so you don't have to reach for a laptop to flip a setting or check a build.
It puts the developer switches you use most in one place. USB debugging, wireless debugging, wait for debugger, pointer location, layout bounds, and the rest can be toggled on or off from one screen, a Quick Settings tile, or a small panel that floats over the app you are testing. Device details sit in the same place: Android version, API level, security patch, build fingerprint, screen, hardware, battery, and storage, with a choice of exactly which fields a copy carries, so the block you paste into a bug report says what you want it to say and nothing else.
The app inspector reads any installed app's public package information: version, version code, target and minimum SDK, install and update dates, signing certificate fingerprints, declared permissions, and exported components. You can extract its APK or open its system info page from there. The deep link tester fires a link at your build and shows which activity claims it, and the locale tester runs one app in another language without changing the phone's language, then reverts it with one tap.
For location work, you can set a fixed point on the map or follow a saved route at a chosen speed, with progress and time remaining shown in the notification. Altitude, accuracy, bearing, and update interval are all settable, so you can see how your app behaves on a moving, imperfect signal rather than a perfect one. Keep the screen awake and system text size round out the bench, and the floating panel keeps whichever of these you reach for most, one tap away in a bubble parked at the edge of the screen.
Android does not let any app change developer options on its own, so the developer switches, and the system text size needs one ADB command run from a computer once.
The app shows it with a copy button: adb shell pm grant com.kodeelite.devswitch android.permission.WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS.
Everything else works without it. Mock location also requires the Select mock location app to be set to Dev Switch in your phone's developer options, which is the standard Android way to test location-aware apps you are building.
Location permission is required to publish a mocked position and a route to the system. Display over other apps is used only for the floating panel. Notifications carry the ongoing session and include a stop button. Ignoring battery optimization is optional and only keeps a running session alive in the background.
There is no account, no sign-in, no ads, no analytics, and no tracking. Nothing you do in the app is collected or sent anywhere, and everything stays on the device. Dev Switch is an independent app.
