About this app

MarkNote is a local-first Markdown editor for Android that opens files quickly and saves them safely.

It does not import your documents into a private app database. MarkNote edits the original `.md`, `.markdown`, and `.txt` files in the local or Google Drive work folder you choose.

Use Android Storage Access Framework or a Google Drive work folder to manage existing Markdown files without locking them into the app.

A Markdown toolbar helps with bold, italic, links, images, lists, checklists, tables, code blocks, quotes, and Mermaid charts.

Preview your document in the app, then export it as an HTML file or use the system print flow to save as PDF.

* Search and file management
Search file names and document bodies in the current work folder and recent files. Create, rename, move, copy, and delete documents when needed.

* Safer saving
Auto save, temporary draft recovery, external change conflict detection, and save-copy flows help protect the original file.

* Multilingual interface
MarkNote supports Korean, English, Japanese, Spanish, and French.

Privacy and data

MarkNote does not provide its own account system, app cloud sync, ads, or external analytics SDK. Local file contents are processed on device. If you connect a Google Drive work folder, MarkNote uses Google account authorization and the Google Drive API to read and save the Drive files you choose.
