Why we built Konek
Konek is built by two young Belgians who wanted an easier way to plan everyday activities with friends. The idea came from a simple, annoying observation: too many good moments never happen. Not because nobody wants them, but because organizing them is a pain. A coffee that gets postponed three times. A hike that dies in a group chat. A “we should go climbing” that stays a “we should” for months.

We didn't want another social network. We already have plenty of those, and most of them are designed to keep you on your phone, not to get you out into the world. So we built the opposite. No feed to scroll endlessly. No likes, no followers, no algorithm trying to hijack your attention. Konek does one thing, and it does it well: turn an idea into a plan, and a plan into a real moment with the people you actually know.

We also wanted to make it easy to meet friends of friends. Some of the best people you'll ever click with are already one step away from you. They share your interests, they hang out with people you trust, but you've just never crossed paths. Konek opens that door, without ever feeling like meeting strangers. Every activity you discover comes through someone you know.
