Learn Korean, read Hangul and understand the satoori you hear in K-dramas. This app teaches Standard Korean with a full course of words, sentences, grammar and conversation exams, plus something few apps offer: real courses in seven regional varieties.
STANDARD KOREAN + 7 DIALECTS
• Standard Korean: the language of Seoul and the news (619 words)
• Gyeongsang (Busan, Daegu): the dialect of many drama characters (715 words)
• Jeolla (Gwangju, Jeonju): polite -라우 and friendly -잉 (734 words)
• Jeju: an endangered language of its own, in the official Jeju spelling (792 words)
• Chungcheong (Daejeon): polite -유 and -슈 (780 words)
• Gangwon (Gangneung, the east coast): -이래요 and questions on -우/-소 (755 words)
• Yanbian Korean (Yanbian, China): polite -ㅁ다/-슴다 (728 words)
• Pyongan (Pyongyang): polite -ㅂ네다/-습네다 in North Korean spelling (770 words)
Every variety has 39 levels, 32 grammar topics, 25 conversation exams and 3 guided dialogues.
LEARN HANGUL
All 19 consonants and 21 vowels with their South and North Korean names, final consonants (받침), nine sound rules with real words, building syllable blocks, and listening drills with your device's Korean voice.
