Koshyk was built by a Ukrainian for people tracking shared budgets on a phone. The idea was born on a trip with friends, where spreadsheets stopped being convenient— so Koshyk does the same work in two taps, without tables or formulas.

Four friends on a trip. You paid $300 for groceries and dinner, Alex paid $200 for the hotel, Sam paid $100 for transport, Mike paid nothing. Total — $600, each person's share is $150. Koshyk analyzed all the debts and found the optimal plan: Mike pays $150 to you, Sam pays $50 to Alex — just 2 transfers for 4 people, instead of up to 6 separate payments between every pair. Simple and accurate.

Koshyk was built in Ukraine by an indie developer who got tired of asking friends "how much do I owe you?" after every trip. Built for groups who care about fairness and privacy.
About the name: "Koshyk" (кошик, pronounced KOH-shik) is Ukrainian for
"basket" — or in modern usage, "cart," the kind you fill at the store.
We thought it fit: you collect expenses together, share what's inside,
and split it fairly at the end.
