※ Foreign nationals capable of mobile phone identity verification and corporate customers registered with the corporate identity verification service are also eligible to use this service.

(However, mobile micropayments are not available for individuals under 19 years of age or for corporate-registered mobile phones.)

[Key Features]

- Simple Identity Verification: Securely authenticate your mobile phone without worrying about smishing using your 6-digit PIN registered in PASS, fingerprints, etc.

- Mobile Payment: You can view your mobile payment history and make barcode payments.

- Driver's License Mobile Verification Service: Your driver's license is now on your mobile phone; you can register your physical driver's license information in PASS.

- Resident Registration Card Mobile Verification Service: You can verify the information contained in your Resident Registration Card on PASS without needing a physical ID card. - PASS Certificate: Use a certificate that has acquired the Electronic Signature Certification Business License for safer and more convenient use.

- Financial Products: Provides information on a wide range of financial products, including loans, cards, insurance, and savings/deposit products.

[Important Notes]

- Available on Android OS 8.0 or higher; fingerprint authentication may not be supported depending on the phone model.

- The service is not supported on tablets, smartphone accessories, or WiFi-only devices.

- Data charges may be deducted or applied depending on your rate plan when installing and running the app in a 3G/LTE environment.

- Data roaming charges may apply if used overseas without a WiFi environment.

[PASS Access Permission Items and Reasons for Necessity]

1. Essential Access Permissions

#Phone Permission: PASS by kt collects, transmits, and stores phone numbers for user authentication upon app launch, collection of app usage statistics, verification of customer location information and history management for mobile driver's license confirmations, and verification of customer information when connecting to the customer center to resolve customer inconveniences.

#Storage: Required for saving certificate signature files and information management, saving issued electronic receipts, saving Pet Funeral Service membership certificates, and saving Mind Care content. (Obtained only on OS 12 or lower)

2. Optional Access Permissions

#Camera: Used for QR code authentication and driver's license registration, facial recognition registration for driver's licenses/resident registration cards, identity verification, PASS Wallet profile settings and certificate usage, and Pet Care patellar luxation examinations.

#Location Information: Used to check the device's location when transmitting driver's license confirmations and to look up nearby pet-friendly places based on location in "Pet-Zone" areas.

#Notifications: Required for sending push notifications. #Contacts: Used to enter the recipient's name and phone number when creating a PASS Wallet certificate.

#Physical Activity: Used to measure the number of steps in the healthcare pedometer.

#Microphone: Used to record the user's pronunciation during Talkteum English learning.

* You can change PASS permissions in the PASS App Permissions menu under Application Management in your mobile phone's Settings.

Ratings and reviews

When you are in Korea, every step needs confirmation and this app is one of the Virtual signature platforms. But it is the worst app ever! It signs me out any time it wants, doesn't let me sign in again, and always says the SIM information is wrong, and guess what! It happens all of a sudden when I need it the most! So inconvenient, so bothersome.

I think the designers have some kind of mental handicap? the app is exclusively in korean with no language setting AND disables screenshots so I can't even translate it. someone is VERY senile in the design department.

Pathetic app experience. No English support. Doesn't allow screenshot so can't translate as well. App will just close if sim is not inserted in slot 1. If sim is in slot 1, but default calls and msg is set to sim2, app will still not work. Even after this, need to switch off and switch on the phone and enable mobile data initially for the app to login. After long trouble it might work, but even after that, trouble doesn't end due to no English support.
