About this app

Kulturspåret is a mobile application created by the City of Sundbyberg and the app developer We App. Kulturspåret is part of Sundbyberg's initiative Making Art Alive, a project funded by the Swedish National Council for the Arts.

The initiative Making Art Alive is based on the vision that art provides a fertile ground for education, creativity and tolerance.

Art has its own value through its unique content, which is often expressed beyond what can be captured in words.

The value of art is not always measurable but has significance for the people who live in the city.

The app has been made possible with the help of employees in the City of Sundbyberg, Sundbyberg's library, the cultural school's staff and students, participants in El Sistema, the app's test subjects.

A special thank you to all the artists and relatives of artists who generously contributed knowledge and memories. Also thanks to former employees at Marabou's chocolate factory Gunilla Laurin and Christin Edström and the staff of Marabouparken's art gallery.
