Preppy - Emergency Supply Calc

About this app

Preppy is an emergency supply calculation application. You enter the number of people in your household and your emergency supplies, categorized in water and food items. Preppy will then calculate how long your supplies will last for you and your family.

Individual daily calorie consumption can be adjusted to calculate different scenarios - for example when you and your family are just holding out at home your calorie demand will be much lower than regular.

This application was created during the course "Developing Mobile Applications" at the Heidelberg Hochschule in the degree Advanced Computer Science. The supervising professor was Professor Dr. M. Yass.

The application does not communicate with any webserver - everything is stored on the device.

What’s new

I am working on the item scanning functionality. It is really hard to have a good, free API for food items with precise values. I hope it works now better, but still not every scanned item will results in a good result from the API.
