One player draws a card and reads the question out loud. What a “kerf” is. What a “squinch” holds up in a tower. What a “tenter” was, in “on tenterhooks”.
Then the phone goes round the table, and everyone else reads something they are not allowed to repeat: the real answer.
Now you choose. Tell the truth, and work in every red word. Or invent the whole thing, and never let one of them cross your lips. Only one player may take the truth; the app quietly enforces the rest.
Everyone answers out loud, in turn, with as much nerve as they can manage. Then the reader names the one they believe, and the card opens.
