The colours aren't clear couldn't tell gold from Brown and want to know if I type in 27k it should tell me what resistors I can use. And what colors to look for

the most usable app i could find. would be better without network access rights

nice and correct. good overview of the possible colors. if the choosen color boxes would stay clearly marked too it would be perfect.
