About this app

Lab Desk is a report-generation tool for small and medium pathology laboratories. Your records live only on the device: there is no account to create, no cloud database, and no server of ours that ever receives anything.

Everything a laboratory types in - patients, doctors, test results, the laboratory's own letterhead, signature and slogan - is stored in the app's private storage on that phone or tablet and is never transmitted. The app shows advertisements through Google AdMob, and that is the only thing in the app that uses the internet.

BUILT FOR DAILY REPORTING
- Patients and referring doctors: add, search, edit; a report keeps its own copy of the patient and doctor details, so a later edit cannot change an already-issued report.
- Test Master: a bundled library of 129 tests across 8 categories - Haematology, Biochemistry, Endocrinology, Serology & Immunology, Urine, Stool, Microbiology and more - each with unit, reference range, method and price. Activate only the tests your laboratory actually runs, singly or many at a time.
- Profiles: 62 ready-made panels used in routine Indian laboratory practice - Lipid Profile, LFT, KFT, CBC, Thyroid, Diabetes, Fever, Cardiac, Health Packages and others - plus your own panels. Import the whole set in one tap, build new ones, or group existing tests into a panel you order every day. Profiles can be activated and deactivated in bulk.
- Report entry: pick a patient and a doctor, add a profile with one tap or pick single tests, then type results. Values, units, ranges, methods and remarks were filled in from the library and can be changed for that report only. Values above or below their range are flagged and printed in bold.
- Report output: a clean A4 PDF with your laboratory's letterhead drawn in - name, address, phone, email, owner name and degree, logo, signature and slogan - with results grouped profile-wise, one table per panel. Tests that were left blank are not printed at all.
- Printing: print directly from the app onto your pre-printed letterhead paper. The printed sheet carries the data only, with the correct blank space at the top for the paper's own letterhead.
- Sharing: send the PDF over WhatsApp or any other app, or save it to Downloads. The file is only shared when you choose to share it.
- Gujarati and Hindi names: a patient or doctor name typed in Gujarati or Devanagari prints correctly on the report.
- Report history: every report stays on the device, ready to reopen, print or share again.
- Backup: export everything into a single zip file and import it back on another device. The app also keeps an automatic snapshot the first time it is opened each day.

PRIVACY
- Your patient records, doctors, tests, results, reports and laboratory profile are stored only on this device and are never uploaded to a server of ours.
- No account, no analytics, no crash reporting, no cloud database.
- Android's own cloud and device-transfer backup is switched off for this app, so patient data cannot be copied out by the operating system.
- The app shows advertisements from Google AdMob. That ad software adds the internet permission for itself and may read the advertising ID, which you can reset or delete at any time in Android settings. Nothing about your patients is part of an ad request.
- Everything can be deleted from inside the app, or by uninstalling it.

Laboratory owners, technicians and desk staff who prepare reports by hand today and want the typing, the range check and the layout done for them.

Lab Desk is a report-generation tool for professional laboratory use. It does not diagnose, does not interpret results, does not replace a pathologist's review, and does not connect to any analyzer. Reference ranges supplied with the bundled tests are starting points that your laboratory should review and adjust to its own methods.
